1817: Camera Obscura A small cardboard box with a pinhole in the front and film in the back. Used to take pictures of near enough anything. Flaunted openly be the wealthy and well-connected.
1990's: Obscured Camera
We've all seen them, and some of us have even been caught out by them. Yes, camouflaged and
well-hidden speed cameras seem to be everywhere nowadays. Here then, is the hall of shame
for councils all over the country. Send me your photos (digital, or scanned) of the most
obscure camera locations you can find. I want cameras hidden by bushes, trees, buildings,
street furniture - anything you can find! Help me to prove for once and for all that a large
number of cameras are simply placed to extract money from motorists pockets, with not even
so much as a nod to accident prevention.
